Enzyme families in the Repository
Constructs are organised by the sequence-based families of the CAZy classification, with glycan-related enzymes that CAZy does not classify grouped by function instead. 115 families hold 395 listings covering 383 distinct records — a gene assigned to two families appears under both. The count beside each family is the number of entries it holds.
Glycosyltransferases
Glycosyltransferases transfer a sugar from an activated donor onto an acceptor. CAZy groups them into sequence-based families, which is the organising axis used here.
