Glyco-Enzyme Repository of EXpression constructs (GE-REX)

GE-REX holds expression constructs for glycoenzymes — Gateway® pDONR entry clones, mammalian and bacterial expression constructs, and recombinant baculovirus vectors — together with the expression-level data recorded for each. It is the source of the constructs behind the recombinant enzymes in the glycoenzyme catalogue.

Finding a construct

  1. If you know the gene symbol. Browse the available genes by alphabetical list or by CAZy family.
  2. If you know the activity but not the symbol. Search for the gene symbol from the enzyme name or activity first, then look up the gene record.
  3. To acquire material. From the gene record, request the corresponding Gateway® pDONR clone, mammalian or bacterial expression construct, or recombinant baculovirus vector.
  4. To compare expression levels. Expression levels for all constructs are collated on a summary spreadsheet.
